What is Activity?
Many students are already involved in activities that can be counted in this category. Use activities that you already enjoy, but don't forget to try new activities as well. Obviously, participating in a CHS team sport is an excellent way to both meet your active requirement and form community with fellow students. Some examples of active options are CHS Crossfit, swim team, dragon boats, rock climbing, dance, karate, volleyball, yoga, track or cross-country, water aerobics, biking or hiking. If you are doing something on your own, challenge yourself to train for a community event, such as the Providence Bride Pedal, Race for the Cure, Portland Marathon, etc. Charity events may be counted as part activity and part service. The spirit of the CAS program is to be a healthy, well-rounded, and balanced individual. Being active is an important part of being healthy. Think of ways to move that 'move' you!
